The Owners
Darcy Wood
Darcy was an administrative assistant for more than ten years before seeing a need to create a business where she
could serve others by giving them more time in their lives. Working in the human resources department for most of
that time she was able to work with people on a very personal level, coordinate meetings, appointments and
calendars, make reservations, plan large company events for hundreds of people, manage staff, build reporting
systems and benefit packages for high level management, file, organize, and many other related tasks. She is now able
to use all of those acquired skills in her personal assistant service. Being a mother and wife of a busy household helps
her to understand the needs of our clients looking for house cleaning, errand running, and personal shopping
services. When cleaning our clients homes even the smallest detail will not go unnoticed. Darcy prides herself on not
only quality work but also building lasting relationships with clients.
Jason Wood
Leaving his job as an executive chef to help run A Pair of Hands in 2008 was very exciting for Jason. He now takes
care of all commercial client relationships and is responsible for the rapid growth the company has experienced in
that area. He truly values the importance of customer service and relationships, a belief he built being in the
restaurant industry for sixteen years. Missing the kitchen setting he decided to slice his way back in and expand the
company even more with our personal chef services. His position as a kitchen manager and an executive chef gave
him the skills and opportunity to lead teams of more than 50 people. Jason knows how to motivate staff to work to
the best of their abilities no matter what the task. Having catered weddings, graduations, block parties, barbecues,
fund raisers and more, there is nothing he can't do. Cooking for parties as small as twenty people and as large as 500,
he is experienced in plate service, family style and buffet style services. Jason knows what it takes to create an
exceptional party. As a personal chef, he has done many private in home parties ranging from just appetizers and
desserts to three and four course meals. Jason has a deep understanding of customer service and will ensure you and
all of your guests experience a party to remember.
The Employees We have excellent employees to help with your every need. They have been extensively trained and have great experience. They are required to complete detailed checklists for every job performed. We background check each employee and they are also bonded and insured for your comfort. You can feel at ease having our employees in your home or office. Through working with us you'll notice the open line of communication we share with all of our clients. If you would like references for either the cleaning or the personal assistant services we can certainly provide those to
you. We have a great deal of extremely satisfied clients that would be more than willing to tell you of their experience
with us.
Policies A 48 hour notice is required to cancel an appointment. A fee will be charged if notification is not received within 48 hours of the appointment. Returned checks will be charged a $25 service fee. A billing fee will apply if payment is not received at time of service. We accept checks, cash, visa and master card. A $5 processing fee will be added for all credit card charges. Lock out fees may apply if we are locked out of a job site without proper warning.
